We collect as little personal data as we can. This page explains what our website and our game, The Trivia Show, handle, why, and what you can do about it.

The website
The site sets no cookies and has no analytics, tracking, accounts or forms. Like any website, it receives your IP address and browser details in order to send you its pages. Our hosting provider handles them for us and keeps them only for a few hours, to protect the site from abuse.
YouTube
The game page lists our latest videos. The list is read with YouTube API Services when the site is built, not by your browser: visiting this site does not contact YouTube. When you follow a link to YouTube, YouTube can learn that you came from this site and applies its own terms.
By using the list of videos on this site you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google’s handling of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
The Trivia Show
The game runs on Steam, and we run no game servers. Valve handles your Steam account, invitations, lobbies, the connections between players, the Steam Workshop and Steam Cloud, as the Steam Privacy Policy describes.
- Other players. The players in your lobby see your Steam name and Steam ID, and so does anyone looking for lobbies when you host a Public lobby. What you say, type or draw while you play, and the pictures you show, go to the other players, not to us. Depending on your Steam settings, Steam may connect you and the host directly, and you can then see each other’s IP address.
- Your saves. Your settings, packs and pictures are saved on your computer. Your game statistics are also saved in Steam Cloud.
- The Steam Workshop. The packs you publish appear under your Steam account, for the people you choose.
Crash reports and usage data
The first time you play, the game asks whether you want to send crash reports and usage data, which help us fix problems and improve the game. Nothing is sent unless you say yes, and the game works the same either way.
A crash report tells us where the game failed, its version and your system (such as the operating system, graphics card and memory). It also holds the last lines of the game’s log and a random ID that isn’t linked to your Steam account. Usage data tells us how the game runs and is played, such as which modes are played and how long matches last. The game also tells us when each play session starts and ends, so that we can count how often it crashes. We never keep your Steam profile, name, chat, voice or IP address.
This data is stored in the EU and deleted within 90 days. You can switch it off at any time in Settings → Privacy. The game stops sending at once, although a crash or a report already waiting may still go out until you close the game. The next time the game starts, it deletes any reports still waiting on your computer.
Messages you send us
When you write to us by email or on Discord, we receive your address or Discord name, your message and anything you attach, such as the game’s log. We use them only to answer you and to fix what you report, and we delete them at the latest two years after our last message.
Children
Steam accounts are for people aged 13 and over, and we don’t knowingly collect personal data from younger children. If you are under 16, ask a parent before switching on crash reports and usage data.
Why we use your data
- The website: to send you its pages and keep the site safe. This is our legitimate interest.
- Playing with others: the game shows your Steam name and Steam ID to the players in your lobby, so that you can play together. This is needed to give you the game.
- Crash reports and usage data: to find and fix problems in the game and to improve it. The legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time in Settings → Privacy.
- Your messages: to answer you. This is our legitimate interest in helping our players.
Who else receives data
Service providers host our website, our email, and our crash reports and usage data. They handle data only on our behalf, under contracts that protect it. Some of them are in the United States or can reach data from there. Those transfers are covered by the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or by the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses. You can ask us for a copy of them.
Valve (Steam), Discord and Google (YouTube) handle data under their own policies.
We don’t sell personal data and don’t use it for advertising.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your personal data, and ask us to correct it, delete it, limit how we use it or give it to you in a portable format. You can also object to how we use it, and withdraw your consent to crash reports and usage data at any time in Settings → Privacy. Write to contact@minteeble.com, and we will answer within one month.
Crash reports and usage data aren’t linked to your Steam account, so we usually can’t tell which ones are yours.
If you think we have mishandled your data, you can complain to Romania’s data protection authority, the ANSPDCP, or to the authority where you live.
Changes
When we change this page, we update the date at the top.
